Fire Safety and Security
Please review the location of exits, alarms and fire equipment on your floor as soon after check-in as is practical. A copy of your guest floor plan is on the back of your suite door.
In case of emergency, dial 9 + 911
In case of fire
- keep your suite key with you at all times
- use the stairs to exit the floor, not the elevators
- stay low in smoky areas
- remain calm
- leave the suite and close the door
- activate the nearest alarm box, if possible
- go to the nearest stairwell and follow the Exit signs down to the ground floor
- you may want to stay in the safety of your suite to wait for instructions from hotel management
- dial 0 to let the hotel operator know your location
- take the key with you
- touch the door handle and frame to see if they are hot. If they are not, open the door carefully, keeping low as you do so.
- if possible, go to the nearest stairwell and go down to exit the building or enter a safe floor. If you can't go down, go up.
- stay in your suite and keep the door shut
- turn off the air conditioner
- fill the bathtub with water so you have a water supply
- place wet towels along the bottom of the door and over any vents where there is smoke
- dial 0 to let the hotel operator know your location
- stay low below any smoke in the suite
- stay calm

In your suite
- while in your suite use the deadbolt lock
- check to see that connecting doors (if any) are secure
- always ask who it is before opening your door
- do not allow employees of the hotel or maintenance staff to enter your suite before identifying themselves with a nametag or a picture identification
- do not leave valuables in your suite
- protect your valuables in a safety deposit box at the front desk, accessible to you 24 hours a day. There is no charge for the use of safety deposit boxes.

Check-Cashing Services
Our front desk can cash personal checks up to a maximum of $50 per day/$200 per week, provided that the check meets verification requirements.

Check-in time is after 3:00pm. Check-out time is prior to 12:00noon.

Cribs are available as a complimentary special request item through the front desk. The number of available cribs is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first served basis.

Dry Cleaning
Dry cleaning service is available Monday-Saturday, excluding holidays. Same-day service is available if articles are received at the front desk by 7:30am. Articles will be returned by 7:00pm. You will find a dry cleaning bag and form in your bedroom closet. Place the items in the laundry bag and drop it off at the front desk.
Fitness Center
Located on the first floor, the fitness center is equipped with treadmills, stairmasters, weight machine, and exercise bicycle. Open 24 hours for your convenience.
Ice Machine and Vending Machines
An ice machine and vending machines are located on the second floor behind the restaurant.
Guest Laundry
Coin operated washers and dryers and laundry soap vending machines are located on the fifth floor. You will need your suite key to access the laundry. Available 24 hours a day.

For articles lost or found, please contact the Housekeeping.
Mail & Messages
There is a mailbox located at the front desk for outgoing mail. Mail received at the hotel will be delivered to your suite as soon as possible. Your telephone is equipped with voicemail for personal messages. To retrieve messages, please dial "44."
Manager's Reception
Enjoy complimentary beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres every Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Newspaper
USA Today is delivered complimentary, Monday-Friday to your doorstep. The Washington Post is available for sale at the hotel Front Desk.
Parking
Parking is complimentary for all registered guests. The hotel cannot be responsible for any damage to any vehicle on its lot. Please be sure to place a valid hotel parking tag on the rearview mirror of your vehicle, properly secure your vehicle and do not leave any visible property inside. Illegally parked vehicles or vehicles without a valid hotel parking tag are subject to be towed at the owner's risk and expense.
Pet Policy
Pets are welcomed at the cost of $20 per night, per pet. There is a required refundable deposit of $200, and a pet agreement must be signed at check-in also. Please read it carefully, and be sure to receive a "Pet in Suite" sign at check-in also.
Putting Green
Putters and golf balls are available at the front desk. All equipment must be signed for by an adult registered guest.
Restaurant
The hotel restaurant is located on the second floor of the hotel (please click here to view menu). Complimentary continental breakfast is served Monday-Friday 6:00am-9:30am, and Saturday-Sunday 7:30am-10:30am. Holiday schedules are subject to change. Room service and restaurant hours are from 12 noon-10:00pm daily.
Rollaway Beds
Rollaway beds are available as a special request item through the front desk. The number of available rollaway beds is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. A charge of $10 per night per rollaway will be added to your suite account.
Safety Deposit Boxes
Please do not leave money or valuables in your suite. The hotel cannot be responsible for the loss of personal articles. For your security, please secure your valuables in a safety deposit box at the front desk at no charge.
Swimming Pool
The hotel swimming pool is an outdoor pool, and is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day between 10:00am and 9:00pm daily. Please follow all posted pool rules.
Van Shuttle Service
The hotel van shuttle service operates between 6:30am and 10:30pm daily. Service is available to Van Dorn Street Metro Station and anywhere within a one mile radius. Reservations are not required, but service is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please go to the main entrance for the next available shuttle. Wait times may vary according to traffic patterns.

Metro rail Subway System (Metro)
The Metro system consists of five color-coded rail lines: red, blue, green, orange & yellow. Alexandria is serviced by five Metro Stations: King Street (blue & yellow), Van Dorn (Blue), Braddock Road (Blue and Yellow), Eisenhower Ave. (Yellow), and Huntington (Yellow). The Metro System services Alexandria, Washington, DC, Fairfax County, Arlington, Montgomery County, and Prince Georges County. Many of the tourist sites and government agencies are located near Metro rail Stations.
Metro Station entrances are marked by tall brown pylons topped by a large capital "M" as well as bands of color indicating the lines that are available at the station. All Metro stations are manned by Metro officials who provide security and rider assistance. The basic fare is $1.35 with a slight increase during rush hour. Children under four ride free. Fare cards may be purchased from vending machines inside each station. DASH/Metrobus
DASH, Alexandria's local bus system, provides service to various locations and historical sites within the city and serves all of Alexandria's Metro stations. Rail-to-Bus transfers are 25 cents on DASH. DASH also offers a free transfer/round trip which is valid for up to four hours on all DASH bus routes.
